For loading and unloading, please stop briefly on the left-hand side of Neue Querstraße just after you have passed the hotel.
Please collect a permit from us at the hotel and place it visibly in your car. This lets the local authorities know that you are staying at The Layhead B&B. The permit is for loading and unloading only and does not allow long-term parking.
Due to the very limited street parking available on the Old Town Island, we recommend the following parking options:

Secure bicycle parking in the courtyard
You can find a free parking spot for your bicycle in our courtyard. Your bike will be safe and secure there. The courtyard is adjacent to our breakfast room and is surrounded by a wall on three sides. This area is accessible to our guests only.

Since we operate The Layhead B&B as sustainably as possible, we are especially pleased when you travel to Lübeck by train. In this case, we would like to offer you tickets to the European Hanseatic Museum. HTTPS://WWW.HANSEMUSEUM.EU/
If you are arriving by train, a transfer to the hotel by taxi or bus is recommended. Both the taxi stand and the Central Bus Station (ZOB) are located directly at Lübeck Main Station. If no taxi is available, you can reach Lübeck radio taxis at +49 451 81122.
With city bus lines 3, 30, and 40, departing from the Main Station/ZOB, you travel two stops to the “Untertrave” stop. From there, it is only about 100 meters to Fischstraße and your hotel, The Layhead B&B. You can view the Lübeck city bus network here:

There are two ways to reach us on foot:
1. (red) Via the Stadtgraben Bridge. This route takes 1–2 minutes longer, but there is very little traffic and you get a beautiful view of Lübeck’s church towers.
2. (black) Via the Puppenbrücke (Doll’s Bridge) and the Holstentor. This route has significantly more traffic. The Lindenteller is said to be the most dangerous intersection in Germany.

From Lübeck Airport, you can take either the regional train or a bus to the main station. Taxis are also, of course, available.
From Hamburg Airport, take the S1 to Hamburg Main Station, and from there continue by regional express train to Lübeck.
